De Vorstin

The Koffers are back at De Vorstin, more than 40 years after the band started out as a joke at Café De Peuk in Bussum. What was meant to be a one-off performance grew into one of the region's best-known bands, with Hilversum and De Vorstin at the heart of their story. Before long, they were playing pubs, festivals and venues across the Netherlands, Germany and Italy, releasing two albums and two singles, making radio and television appearances, and even building a fan club with its own magazine.

In May 2024, co-founder and bassist Frank Schaafsma passed away. Returning to the stage after his death was far from certain. But now the band is ready to perform again, and what better place for their comeback than their home venue, De Vorstin?

Live, The Koffers deliver rock 'n' roll in the broadest sense. From Johnny B. Goode and Long Tall Sally to Eric Clapton, Steve Miller, Elvis and Robbie Williams, every song gets the unmistakable Koffers treatment. Alongside these classics, they'll perform original tracks from their second album, Discovered. Their Back On Stage tour is all about what makes The Koffers special: an authentic, raw and unpolished sound, without any gimmicks.

For longtime fans, it's a chance to reconnect with a band whose music has stood the test of time. And if you've never seen The Koffers live, here's your opportunity to discover why their shows were once the place to be!
