By public transport

Getting to Hilversum by public transport is quick and easy. After landing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, you can take a direct train to Hilversum in around 30 minutes. The city also has frequent direct connections by train to Amsterdam, Utrecht and other cities across the Netherlands. There's even a direct international train to Berlin! Once you're here, an extensive bus network makes it easy to explore Hilversum and the surrounding region.

By car

Prefer to travel by car? From both Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Amsterdam city centre, your journey takes around 45 minutes. The city is easily accessible via the A1 and A27 motorways. In and around Hilversum city centre, there are several car parks and parking garages. Follow the signs on the main approach roads to the city centre parking facilities. Gooische Brink and Hilvertshof are the largest and best-known parking garages in the city centre.

By (e-)bike

Hilversum is easy to explore by bike. Rent one in the city, hop on a VOI shared bike or bring your own (e-)bike. There's a free bicycle parking facility at Zeedijk, where you can also charge your e-bike. Best of all, cycling is a zero-emission way to get around.

Hilversum Station is fully accessible for wheelchair users, with elevators providing access to all platforms. By car

If you hold a European Disabled Parking Card (Blue Badge) and wish to park free of charge in paid parking areas, you must register your card and use the ParkerenPlus app. Displaying your physical parking card behind the windscreen alone is not sufficient.
