On Saturday 27 June, Hilversum Town Hall will be buzzing with art, culture, and creativity during IkToon Hilversum 2026. The festive opening takes place from 10:45 to 11:00 a.m. and features City Poet Maria Farag, Alderman Floris Voorink, and a spectacular breakdance performance by Dynamic Arts.
From 11:00 a.m. onwards, enjoy a vibrant programme packed with performances by choirs, musicians and poets, musical theatre, dance, ballet and burlesque. The event also features photography exhibitions by a variety of photographers and inspiring video projects created by people with disabilities.
Throughout the day, visitors can take part in a wide range of free creative workshops and activities. Discover the art of cyanotype printing, learn how to spin a top, screen-print your own T-shirt or tote bag, contribute to a collective artwork, get creative at the Children’s Art Factory, feel your own flower, try breakdancing, explore the art of paper cutting, or experiment with blackout poetry. Recharge with a dose of positivity or join the energetic Poetry Rave by Wordbites. And that’s just the beginning.
With plenty of art, creativity, opportunities to connect, and a selection of food trucks, IkToon is the perfect place to discover the wealth of talent that Hilversum has to offer. Come and watch, listen, create, and join in. Admission is free.
