Comedian and writer Vincent Bijlo is the great-grandson of renowned Dutch architect H.P. Berlage. Bijlo shares his great-grandfather’s belief that art should say something about the world we live in, a vision also embraced by the Berlage Saxophone Quartet. Now, they join forces for a new production reflecting on the ideals of the past and those of today.
Featuring music by Bach, Debussy and Roukens, spoken word by Vincent Bijlo and visuals by Jurjen Alkema, the Pantheon will rise on stage. Through music, words and imagery, the performance explores the role of art in society and invites audiences to reflect on its meaning today.
