In the basement of the Town Hall, you’ll discover a permanent exhibition about the life and work of architect Willem Marinus Dudok. The exhibition offers a clear overview of the many buildings he designed, in the Netherlands and abroad. It shows how his ideas took shape in both architecture and urban planning, and how his plans influenced the development of Hilversum.
Models, drawings, and photographs provide insight into Dudok’s working methods. A short introductory film of about ten minutes shows how his style evolved and what continued to inspire him.
If you join a guided tour of the Town Hall, admission to the exhibition is included in the price.
