New Cool Collective returns to De Vorstin! Led by saxophonist Benjamin Herman, the band previously brought the house down and is back to show why it has been one of the Netherlands' most popular live acts for over 30 years.
Since forming in 1993, New Cool Collective has developed a distinctive sound that effortlessly blends jazz, funk, Latin, Afrobeat and dance music. With infectious rhythms, powerful horns and boundless energy, the band has performed at clubs and festivals around the world. Over the years, they've collaborated with artists including Tony Allen, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Jules Deelder and Matt Bianco.
In 2024, the band released Everything is OK, an album showcasing their musical versatility through inventive horn arrangements, orchestral influences and a playful approach. A year later came On Tour, a live album capturing the energy of the New Cool Collective Big Band and the atmosphere of their sold-out shows.
Now working on new material, New Cool Collective continues to do what they do best: make music that gets people moving. Expect a night of irresistible rhythms, brilliant improvisation, outstanding musicianship and danceable grooves from a band that keeps finding new ways to surprise.
