You’ll find the local brewery Gooische Bierbrouwerij at the Market Square inside Foodhall MOUT. Here, they brew smooth, characterful beers using buckwheat, a local ingredient that’s been grown on the sandy soils of the Gooi since the Middle Ages. With around 13 different beers on offer, there’s plenty to try. Favourites include Gooisch Blond, Gooisch Bubbel and Gooisch Bock. Grab a seat at Foodhall MOUT and create your own beer tasting.
Biercafé De BarBier

One of the rawest spots in Hilversum is the industrial-style living room of De BarBier on Groest. At the end of the day, sink into one of the comfy vintage chairs and take your pick from over 100 different craft beers.
TIP: Take a short walk to the Leeuwenstraat and step into their own beer shop: Bierwinkel De BarBier. It’s the biggest (and arguably the best) beer shop in the Gooi region, with over 400 beers and ciders from around the world.

On Larenseweg, just behind Hilversum Central Station, you’ll find Café Dudok, a lovely brown café where a good beer is always within reach. Choose from 24 different beers, on tap or by the bottle. They also offer gluten-free options and 0.0% alcohol. When the weather’s good, the terrace under the grapevines is the perfect spot to settle in.
The Skiff

The Skiff on Kampstraat is a must-visit for beer lovers. Expect a solid mix of classics like Trappist, Leffe and Guinness, alongside local favourites such as Gooische Moordenaar, Jopen and Kompaan. It’s also a great spot if you’re into pub quizzes.
