Duo Con Fuoco

Duo Con Fuoco presents an engaging and accessible concert programme for violin and cello. Violinist Bob van der Ent and cellist Ephraim van IJzerlooij perform a varied selection of works by composers including J.S. Bach, Reinhold Glière, Arthur Honegger, Jean Sibelius, Eva Mees and Daan Manneke.

The programme combines well-known classical repertoire with contemporary pieces, creating a rich and dynamic musical experience. Highlights include Bach’s Inventio No. 7 and No. 10, alongside the Prelude from Daan Manneke’s violin partita and Cello Suite No. 1.

Ephraim van IJzerlooij discovered the cello at the age of nine and went on to study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Bob van der Ent joined the Young Talent department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam at an early age and won prizes at prestigious violin competitions, including the Oskar Back Competition and the Princess Christina Competition.
