Step inside Fotomuseum Hilversum for free during Open Monument Day and discover not only its exhibitions, but also the fascinating history of the building itself.
The museum is housed in Hilversum’s former town hall on Kerkbrink. The oldest part of the building dates back around 250 years, making it one of the oldest buildings in Hilversum. As you explore, see how the historic 19th-century architecture blends with the museum’s modern extension, completed in 2005.
There is plenty of photography to discover too. Visit the international group exhibition Layered Realities: Photography & Collage and explore Mother Song II. It’s a great opportunity to experience history, architecture and contemporary photography all in one visit.
