On Sunday 1 March, the Wisseloord Sunday Sessions return to the Hilversum music studios with an energetic performance featuring afrobeats, highlife and funk. After the concert, the studio will open for a jam session, offering musicians the opportunity to join in.
DUEGRO is a new band bringing together three different worlds: Alex from Greece, Ego from Nigeria and Robert from Poland. Their sound blends afrobeat, soul and highlife. Exhilarating vocal rhythms and melodies create a trance-like atmosphere where sitting still is hardly an option.
DUEGRO follows in the footsteps of renowned African music legends such as Fela Kuti, Osibisa, King Sunny Ade, Amakye Dede, Mariam Makeba and Manu Dibango. The songs draw inspiration from everyday life, nature and human stories.
The performance will be recorded live. The Sunday Session takes place on Sunday 1 March 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in Studio 1 of the Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum. Admission is free. Participants in the jam session are requested to bring their own instrument.
