Hilversum Celebrates 2026: Festive New Year’s Eve on the Market Square

Celebrate the end of 2025 and welcome 2026 in style during Hilversum Celebrates 2026. On New Year’s Eve, the Market Square becomes the vibrant heart of the city, where young and old come together for an evening filled with music, shows and festive energy.

Programme

For children (7:00–8:00 pm)
The evening starts with cheerful music on the Market Square. Shortly after, the children’s mayor and the mayor officially open the celebration with a festive speech. This is followed by a magical laser show for children, accompanied by joyful music and perfect for families.

Evening programme (from 11:00 pm)
From late evening onwards, Hilversum DJ Robin Low sets the mood and builds the excitement as midnight approaches.

The big countdown
Just before midnight, the mayor delivers an inspiring New Year’s speech and leads the countdown. As the clock strikes twelve, everyone counts down together and enjoys a spectacular fireworks, light and laser show with live DJ sounds. This impressive display marks the start of a new year full of opportunities and continues into the night.
