Icons of Wave presents a full evening dedicated to new wave, post-punk and the distinctive synth sound of the 1980s. Three tribute bands deliver a darkly romantic homage to iconic artists, each with its own atmosphere and instantly recognisable sound. The Mistress of Jersey slowly builds tension with a compelling tribute to The Sisters of Mercy. 1984 takes you through the greatest Simple Minds hits, while I Found The Cure closes the night with an energetic set featuring both well-known and lesser-known songs by The Cure.
Between the live performances, DJs V!X and CO2 keep the dance floor moving with classics and surprising gems from the wave and post-punk scene. Expect an evening full of melancholy, nostalgia and irresistibly danceable darkness—for everyone with a soft spot for the 1980s.
