De Koude Kermis - Social VR

The VR fair is part of  De Koude kermis (The Cold Fair) of Dropstuff. De Koude Kermis is an art project where new stories are told with existing fairground attractions, in collaboration with various museums, artists, and designers. A fairground of which all 'attractions' have been taken care of or have been developed completely new: Folk culture meets High Tech and High Art. The Cold Fair travels past both galleries and real fairgrounds and everything in between.

A new part of this is the VR version of The Cold Fair. In this digital environment, anyone with VR glasses can log in and visit the installations as their chosen 'avatar'. In this virtual world, you can participate in the different installations that tell the same story as the physical ones, so you can sit on the VR Kiddyrides of The Fair Grounds 1.0 and experience the same 360-degree film that you experience the physical installation. Then on to the carnival des Mouton's merry-go-round where you can put on virtual 'glasses' in the VR world and experience a virtual augmented reality experience.
