Rooted Festival – stories, music and connection in the forest

On Saturday, August 29, head to De Hoorneboeg for Rooted Festival: a day filled with music, dialogue and personal stories about migration, identity and belonging.

This festival welcomes everyone – with or without a migration background – and invites you to help build a shared space where all identities are welcome. Surrounded by nature, you'll take part in inspiring workshops, films, performances and meaningful encounters.

Rooted Festival is organized by Rooted, UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) and De Hoorneboeg. The program will be held in English.

In the days around the festival, the annual Forest Cinema (Bosbios) returns from August 29–31. For three evenings, enjoy open-air film screenings curated around the Rooted theme – a peaceful and thought-provoking end to the summer.
