110 years of Gispen in buildings

Step into the world of Gispen and discover how this Dutch design brand has been shaping remarkable buildings for 110 years. The exhibition takes you back to the beginning, introducing founder Willem Hendrik Gispen and his innovative approach to furniture and design. It also explores Gispen’s special collaboration with architect W.M. Dudok. See how their ideas about architecture and interiors came together, and how furniture can do more than simply furnish a building.

Head to Filmtheater Hilversum with your kids for a special screening of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom. Start the morning with a tasty pancake breakfast, then get comfy in your pajamas or favourite onesie and settle in for the movie. Get swept up in the irresistible mix of rock ’n’ roll, rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, ska and country from this London-based sibling trio. Known for their energetic live shows, authentic vintage sound and impressive musicianship, they know exactly how to get a crowd moving. Expect an evening packed with infectious grooves, analogue sounds and music that makes it impossible to stand still.

Pop & Jazz Festival

Pop & Jazz is back! And this year, it’s bigger than ever with a full weekend of live music. On Saturday night, 12 bands take over four stages at Gooiland, bringing you everything from jazz and blues to soul. Enjoy live performances by Marlon Pichel, Ruben Hein, Zuco 103, Mell VF, Billy Joel Experience and more. And for the first time, the festival moves beyond Gooiland too. On Sunday, the music continues in the city centre with music route Get a Taste: six venues, six live performances, all part of one delicious culinary route.

Enjoy an intimate evening dedicated to the art of the singer-songwriter, performed completely acoustic in a cosy living-room setting. This time, Zoetwater, Phillis and Fenne take to the stage.

Dutch Metalheads Fest

Metalheads, get ready! The very first edition of Dutch Metalheads Fest is taking over the main hall at De Vorstin for a full-on celebration of heavy metal. Brace yourself for a hard-hitting line-up featuring The Monolith Deathcult, Loyalty Ends Here, Deadspeak and more. Expect an afternoon and evening packed with crushing riffs, raw energy and powerful live performances.
