Celebrate Easter outdoors. Hunt for Easter eggs either among the vines at a vineyard or between greenery in a botanical garden, or welcome spring at the festive Spring Festival at a sheep barn. Whether you’re heading out with the whole family or simply in the mood for a fresh spring day outside, there’s plenty to enjoy this Easter weekend.

Dudok à Paris

In this new exhibition in the basement of Hilversum’s Town Hall, discover and experience Dudok’s international masterpiece: the student residence Collège néerlandais in Paris. Explore Dudok’s design process, experience the unique interior and learn how the building was used in the past and still functions today. A student room from that time has even been recreated, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of the era for yourself.

KiKa Hilversum City Run

Through the city, April 12

The running celebration bursts into life during the Hilversum City Run. Run past the Media Park, through the leafy neighbourhoods of the Gooi region and along the lively squares in the city centre. With plenty of musical performances along the route, you’ll get an extra boost on your way to the festive finish at the Market Square.

Fairground magic

Enjoy fun and exciting attractions for all ages. Jump into the most thrilling rides, grab a sweet cotton candy, or take a spin in the giant swing carousel. For the little ones, there are classic games like duck fishing and on Sunday afternoons, you can enjoy lively street theatre. On King’s Day (Monday April 27), the fair opens extra early, and on Thursday April 19, there are two low-stimulus hours.

The Doors in Concert

Travel back in time with The Doors in Concert, an authentic tribute to the psychedelic rock band The Doors. Because the band uses the exact same instruments as The Doors once did, the sound is almost identical.

King's Day & Night

City centre, April 26 & 27

On Monday April 27, Hilversum literally turns orange as everyone celebrates the birthday of the Dutch King. Head to Dudok Park and the fair with your family, browse the lively flea market or party with friends at the many celebrations in the city centre. Can’t wait that long? The festivities already begin on Sunday April 26, during King’s Night. Where will you celebrate the King’s birthday?
